Superpitcher is Aksel Schaufler, a German producer with close ties to Cologne"s Kompakt label. Like a lot of other producers on that label, it"s nearly impossibly to predict exactly what he"ll do next. He made his first appearance on Kompakt"s Total 2 compilation in 2000 with “Shadows," an eerie trip-hop production seemingly designed to soundtrack a 3 A.M. drive down a foggy urban alley. Thomas Franzmann aka Zip aka Dimbiman, co-founder of the label Perlon, is familiar with the dancefloors around the world and famous for his tremendous minimal shiftspan>s within the 4/4 scheme. He has an illustrious musical history which began in 1986 as singer in the band Second Voice. In 1992 he moved to Frankfurt and joined the Ebm band Bigod 20. After several releases the band split. Pier Bucci started six years ago to create his own vision of atmospherical rhythms via experimental musical programming. His first release can be listened to on the compilation "Austral" on the Chilean label Ruta 5. In the beginning of "99 he founded the project Skipsapiens [u-cover, Belgium] together with his colleague Daniel Nieto which knew to amuse warm, analogue melodies by setting very individual sound effects.
