Melon is a natural all round artist, a DJ’s DJ who has managed to gain residencies and regular bookings at some of the finest clubs around the globe purely by being great at spinning records. His awesome record collection, spanning three decades of dance music, is the base for a unique sound that is always a few steps ahead of the game. Timeless, muscular house in all its glory and variety which can be regularly witnessed at his monthly residency at Trouw.

Flair and charisma have never hurt anyone in this business. As one of Amsterdam’s key figures, Melon has created a unique profile over the last 20 years, even a career as drag queen „Vanessa Del Rio” passed the review. Besides introducing many key artists, Melon is responsible for some of Amsterdam's original concepts & a chef extraordinaire.

With releases & remixes on top notch labels such as Innervisions, Rekids, Rush Hour & his own imprint Ratio? music, Melon has managed to create a high production profile that speaks volumes of his reach and musical approach. Next to his collaborations with long time friends such as San Proper & Tom Trago, Melon is praised for his typical grooves. His edits are well respected around the globe & have earned playtime by friends such as Ricardo Villalobos, Soul Clap, Seth Troxler & Doc Martin.
