Over the past few years, Italian producer Cesare Marchese aka Cesare vs Disorder's (also AZIMUTE (with Quenum), Strangers in Heaven (with Sierra Sam), Queen Atom, Cez, Sir Cactus) unique productions and performances behind the decks have gained him recognition within the underground house and techno worldwide community.
In addition to the demanding job of running his label Serialism (previously also Mean Records) together with a London / Berlin based team, he has been releasing consistently on major labels such as BPitch Control (Germany), Get Physical Music (Germany), Vakant (Germany) Souvenir Music (Germany) and more underground imprints such as Stock5 (Germany), Thema (USA), Safari Electronique (Uk), Dumb Unit (Canada), Clink (USA), SthlmAudio (Switzerland), Archipel (Canada), Remake Musique (France), Resopal (Germany) to name a few.
Since being named one of Beatport's Ones to Watch' in 2009, Cesare has traversed the globe, playing at some of the best clubs and festivals alongside the biggest names in the industry. In the last few years he built upon his growing international profile showcasing at the Detroit Electronic Music Festival as well as ADE festival in Amsterdam, Kazantip festival in Ukraina, Bermuda festival in Berlin, The Winter Music Conference in Miami, off Sonar in Barcelona, TomorrowLand festival in Belgium, 8Bahn in Netherlands, Lighthouse festival in Croatia, The June in Sardinia and many more.
When he's not traveling, Cesare spends his time in the studio, the fruits of his labor included in a number of compilations. In 2009, his track "Mean Land" (Thema) was featured on the Cocoon compilation "Sound of the Tenth Season: mixed by Sven Vath. As Queen Atom, his track "Enemy Of Time" was included on the 3rd Watergate CD mixed by Konrad Black. A track from his "Le Plaisir" EP on Clink Recordings, co-produced with Mikael Stavostrand, was added to Camea's well-received Clinkology compilation and also included on the acclaimed Damian Lazarus' "Get Lost Vol.4" compilation on CrossTown Rebels.
His rmx on Toys for Boys has been included on Maceo Plex's mix CD for Trax magazine in Paris. And the list continues, last year a tune as Strangers in Heaven with partner Sierra Sam on another Watergate cd compilation by Ruede Hagelstein..this year together with Dave Vega on BPitch Control..2 tunes featured on John Digweed's Live in Miami for Bedrock and another tune on Stock5 is schedule to appear on the next Renaissance Master series by Stacey Pullen.
Last 2 years has been very prolific for Cesare's productions releasing an ep on Private Gold with his long time friend Visionquest/Cadenza man Cesar Merveille (the ep featured a rmx by Bruno Pronsato and Jin Choi) 2 eps on Souvenir Music with his partner Sierra Sam under their studio project alias Strangers in Heaven) and one more ep on Serialism with a rmx by Mayan Niidaam and a collaboration with Quenum, a ep on Stock5 featuring Aquarius Heaven..and more on Vakant and remixes on Cityfox, Memento, D-Edge rec, Get Physical..Cesare has been unstoppable.
And finally 2014 an important year with Cesare's debut on BPitch Control and Get Physical with with Dave Vega and his new big project with Quenum, Azimute that would see first release on CrossTown Rebels before the summer and on Detroit acclaimed label Transmat. More collaborations are in the pot..with Konrad Black, Eric Volta, Sierra Sam..
Serialism's profile keeps growing with solid releases with artists like Cassy, Mathew Jonson, Tiefschwarz, Maayan Nidam, Quenum, Maceo Plex, Tale of Us, Shaun Reeves, Jay Haze, Sierra Sam, Walker Barnard, Seuil, Leloup, Tolga Fidan..soon to come Alexi Delano, DeWalta.
Having lived for many years in London, Cesare relocated to Berlin in 2010, a city that he's always held close to his heart and helded a residency at Kater Holzig from the very beginning to the very end of the club history this year, And still held a Serialism label night at Watergate few times a year. Cesare continues to set Berlin and worldwide's nightlife ablaze. |
